Our ethos is always to improve quality and ensure excellent service
F Bradley and Sons are a small family business established in 1980, by Fred, Connie and sons Arthur and Raymond.
The first seeds were sown when we brought a local three acre Victorian walled garden in Old Scriven. We started with no qualifications in horticulture at all, just the love of growing top quality show vegetables. In the early years we grew salad crops and beans, but over the years demand changed from edibles to ornamentals.
By 1998, production had totally switched to ornamentals in the form of bedding plants and perennials. To accommodate this change of emphasis, our nursery has been developed to keep pace.
Currently, Connie and Fred are in their late eighties and semi-retired. Sons Arthur and Raymond are running the business, with an emphasis on the production of quality alpine and herbaceous perennials (pot and pack seasonal bedding are still grown in moderate quantities). Our ethos remains the same now as it was when we started in 1980 - to improve quality and ensure excellent service.
