F Bradley and Sons is a small family business first established in 1980 by Fred, Connie and their sons Arthur and Raymond. The first seeds were sown when we brought a local three-acre Victorian walled garden in Old Scriven. We started with no qualifications in horticulture at all, just the love of growing top quality show vegetables. In the early years we grew salad crops and beans, but over the years demand changed from edibles to ornamentals.
By 1998, production had totally switched to ornamentals in the form of bedding plants and perennials. To accommodate this change of emphasis, our nursery has been developed to keep pace with customer demand. Currently, Arthur and Raymond are running the business, focusing on the production of quality alpine and herbaceous perennials (pot and pack seasonal bedding are still grown in moderate quantities). Our ethos remains the same now as it was when we started in 1980 - to always improve the quality of our products and ensure excellent service.
